School Community

In brief...

With over 150 families at any given time attending our school and living within our community we know the importance of getting involved in the wider community and we actively seek opportunities to support other local groups, clubs, societies and charities.

In more detail...

We support and promote our local community in a variety of ways including making our school building and grounds available to local groups such as the Men’s Breakfast Club and the Amateur Dramatics Society, inviting The Tea Club to join us for school lunch and school performances, organising events such as the Village Fete in June alongside three other charities and participating in events such as Meet The Village.

We regularly publish Community and Church news and local information in our own school newsletter and we contribute articles to the Parish Magazine and the Church Weekly Sheets.  We are grateful for the support we receive from our community through donations and contributions, help in the grounds and within our school, recent examples of which include a donation of a greenhouse and snow ploughing the carpark in winter!  We have an active PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) that works hard alongside the school to build and maintain these community links as part of their activities.  See the PTFA section for more information.
