Year 2 had a great day in the sunshine today. It was cool in the woods but the children experienced fox walking with their socks and boots off, and then used this skill when they had their Silent Spot time. They also found their tree, and were really adept at remembering the facts about the tree.... Read More »

As with Year one, year four began their sessions learning how to walk like foxes. They demonstrated incredible maturity and worked really hard to perfect their skill; a couple of children in Birch group even put the skill into action during their game later in the session and took off their shoes... Year 4 had a very wet day today. Mrs Omer (aka Beetle) joined us today; she seemed to really enjoy spending time outside with her class, even though it was very wet all day. It was Goldcrest's birthday and therefore Larch group had Peach pudding, which seemed to go down really well; there wasn't... Read More »

Unusually, yesterday's weather filled Tawny Owl with dread - it was so wet and very cold. However, today dawned chilly and bright and the children enjoyed a 'dry' day in the woods. Some of the children arrived without waterproof trousers so ended up with rather soggy trousers, and there were also... Read More »

Ratty showed the children how to create some woodland art, and Tawny Owl, Goldcrest, Blossom and Cuckoo worked together with Eva and Sebastian to begin creating a music stand. Thank you to...
