On the last week before half term, we were visited by Jeremy from Tunbridge Wells Museum. He showed us a variety of old toys and explained how they were used. On Monday (5th) we investigated kites and the forces that make them fly. We made predictions about which shape of kite would be the best at flying, and discovered that solid shapes such as rectangles and the traditional diamond kite shape. we have been looking at the works of Georges Seurat and have done lots of artwork relating to pointillism. The children have created beautiful pictures for their homework, and this week we used pointillism for shading, we practiced first, then painted apples using this technique. Read More »
