Thank you to all those parents who kindly donated harvest gifts this week. Also to those parents who transported the gifts and decorated St. Mary's Church in preparation for our service. Indeed what a wonderful service it was! Caroline reminded us that Harvest was a time for thanksgiving and generosity. She retold the story of the Rich Fool to help us reflect on the folly of placing too much value on material wealth. Moreover, the children filled the church with their singing, poems, paintings and prayers. Indeed it was a delight to see so many parents and members of the community coming together at the service to help us celebrate, enjoy and achieve, together!
All your donated gifts will be taken to the Food Bank in Tunbridge Wells known as Nourish or will be distributed to local people.
If you would like to continue to help people in our own Community beyond Harvest time, please leave food items particularly dry food stuffs in St. Mary's Church which will then be stored in their Community Cupboard. Anyone who is struggling with bills and food costs can then go and take what they need - no questions asked.
Once again thank you for your support.
